Liza's Good Judy
Rally your Good Judy's! Heirlume Productions presents an evening of cinematic melody and infamous haircuts, as legendary mother-and-daughter duo Judy Garland and Liza Minnelli reunite for a little tete-a-tete and a big heart-to-heart. Making her solo show debut, Manda Rozen-Flannery brings both Judy and Liza (yes, you read that right) to life before your eyes, capturing their dynamic spirits, "terrific" catchphrases and soul-stirring vocals. Featuring a songlist brimming with classic gems, including "Maybe This Time", "The Man That Got Away", "The World Goes 'Round", and of course, "Over the Rainbow", you'll be humming your way home. This one-woman show savours the survival anthems that defined Judy and Liza's careers and cemented their gay icon status, all washed down with a dose of amphetamines, a dash of Hollywood drama, and, of course, a long parade of closeted husbands. So "forget your troubles, come, get happy" and gather your Friends of Dorothy for a night out that is all together comic, camp, moving and healing. After all, "life is a cabaret, old chum!" About Manda Rozen-Flannery, she/her (producer, writer and performing artist): Manda is a Musical Theatre Graduate of the Queensland Conservatorium, whose credits include A Chorus Line, Sweet Charity, West Side Story, Kiss Me, Kate and The Life. With a passion for post-Golden Age Theatre and Cinema, she launches Heirlume Productions in 2025, an indie theatre company dedicated to the celebration and innovation of classic musicals and plays. She lives on the unceded lands of the Boonwurrung People, with her "little dog" Liza.
